The Need for Expansion

The last two years of the pandemic highlighted the need for additional affordable housing. Unfortunately, with the current shortage, our youth find it even more difficult to obtain housing due to not meeting the necessary landlord requirements. As a result, we are currently turning youth away and are not able to provide a transitional step.

The JAS House has helped me achieve more than a few goals. I’ve gotten a job and started a savings account, learning basic yet fundamental lessons about living in an apartment and how to work as a team with the other residents. JAS helped pull me out of a rut and regain some balance in my life.” ~ Simon

How are we funded?

We fund Journey to Adult Success in a variety of ways.

  • Rent: Our residents pay rent on a sliding scale.
  • Income-producing unit: JAS House has an attached apartment that we rent out for monthly income. As we expand, we hope to replicate this model, as it will enable us to spend more time working with our residents and less time fundraising.
  • Community collaboration: We cooperate with a range of ongoing social service programs, taking advantage of funding opportunities already available in the community.
  • Donations: We are incredibly grateful for individual and corporate donations of any size. Past donors include the Cloud FoundationLet Me Be Frank Productions; Dan Holstead; Green Bay P.E.O., Chapter BS; U.S. Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation; Green Bay Packers; WG&R Furniture; K.C. Stock Foundation; and Cornerstone Foundation of Northeastern Wisconsin, Inc.
